  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, slow, and rhythmic application of pressure which only meets the most superficial layer of tissue.  The therapist is working to redirect fluid into the lymphatic structures just beneath the skin for it to be taken up by the cardiovascular system and then eliminated.  It is very soothing and settling to the client’s nervous system.

Dani has a 45 hour certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage from Klose Training.

  • Dani was trained in Shiatsu at Ten Thousand Waves and offers this style of massage. It is a unique method, created by Sensei Uchida from Japan who travels to New Mexico to teach his workshops. This style of shiatsu is his own technique that focuses on “lines” which encompass the whole body in sections.  It is a structural and connective tissue based work that emphasizes “peeling” of the fascial attachments away from midline to stretch and reorient the tissues.  It is performed without any oils while the client is wearing loose fitting clothing and is a firmer pressure than other styles of massage she offers.

It is beneficial for those who:

    • Are uncomfortable with unclothed massage

    • Have dense muscle or stiff joints

    • Don’t like oil
